1. Information we collect

We only gather the information needed to run the store. That includes:

  • Contact and order details. Your name, email, shipping address, and phone number when you order or write to us.
  • Research details. The research setting and intended use you confirm at checkout.
  • Payment information. Card payments go straight to our payment providers. We never keep your card details.
  • Usage information. Pages you view, how long you stay, and the site that referred you, gathered through cookies and similar tools.
  • Messages. Emails, newsletter sign-ups and contact form submissions you send us.

Using the site or placing an order means you agree to the practices set out here.

2. How we use your information

Your information is put to work for a short list of purposes:

  • Fulfilling and shipping your orders
  • Confirming that orders are for laboratory research
  • Replying to questions about orders, products and lot COAs
  • Sending news and offers, only if you have opted in
  • Spotting and stopping fraud or unauthorized activity
  • Improving the website and the shopping experience
  • Meeting our legal obligations

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not sell or share it for targeted advertising as those terms are defined under state privacy laws.

3. How we share your information

Your information goes only to the providers that help us operate: payment processors, shipping carriers, hosting services, and analytics tools. Each one receives only what its job requires.

If TLC Renew merges, is acquired, or is sold, customer information may pass to the new owner as part of that deal.

We may also release information when the law, a subpoena, a court order, or the safety of our business or others requires it.

4. International data transfers

We are based in the United States and your information is processed here. Some providers we rely on may store or process information outside the United States. When that happens, we take reasonable steps so your information stays protected to the standard described in this policy.

5. Cookies

Cookies help the site remember your cart and preferences and show us how visitors use it. You can switch them off in your browser, but parts of the site, such as the cart and checkout, may stop working. Continuing to browse means you accept our use of cookies.

6. Data retention

We hold personal information only for as long as the purposes in this policy and our legal duties require. Order records are kept for as long as US tax and business record rules require, typically up to seven years.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information against loss and against unauthorized access or disclosure:

  • Checkout pages are served over an encrypted connection
  • Only staff who need customer data for their role can reach it
  • Payment data is handled by our payment providers, not stored on our servers

No online transmission is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

8. Your rights

Depending on the state you live in, for example California, Virginia or Colorado, you may have the right to:

  • Know and see the personal information we hold about you
  • Have inaccurate information corrected
  • Ask for deletion, subject to our legal retention duties
  • Opt out of any sale, sharing or targeted advertising use
  • Use these rights without being treated differently

We honor these requests for every customer, wherever you live. Email research@tlcrenew.com to use any of these rights, and we will reply within the time your state’s law requires. To leave our mailing list, use the unsubscribe link in any promotional email.

Links on our site may take you to websites we do not run. Their privacy practices are their own, so please read their policies before sharing personal information with them.

10. Children

Our website is meant for adults aged 21 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger, including children under 13. If you think we have, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with a revised date. Using the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
