Overview
Tesamorelin is a synthetic 44 amino acid analogue of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), modified with a trans-3-hexenoyl group at the N-terminus. The modification increases resistance to enzymatic degradation compared with native GHRH.
Research context
Tesamorelin acts at the GHRH receptor. It is used in receptor studies and in preclinical models of growth hormone axis signalling.
