Overview
CJC-1295 with DAC is a synthetic analogue of growth hormone releasing hormone, GHRH(1-29), with amino acid substitutions that improve stability. A Drug Affinity Complex (a maleimidopropionamide-modified lysine) allows the peptide to bind covalently to circulating albumin.
Research context
The albumin-binding design substantially extends the half-life of the peptide compared with native GHRH, which makes it a reference compound in research on sustained GHRH receptor activation and the growth hormone and IGF-1 axis.
