Overview

This single vial combines tesamorelin, a synthetic analogue of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), and ipamorelin, a synthetic pentapeptide. The label split of 6/3 indicates 6 mg of tesamorelin and 3 mg of ipamorelin.

Research context

The two peptides act at different receptors, tesamorelin at the GHRH receptor and ipamorelin at the ghrelin receptor (GHS-R1a). The combination is used in preclinical models that examine both pathways of growth hormone axis signalling together.

Molecular weights are average masses for the free peptide. The salt form and counter-ion content can vary between lots, so the Certificate of Analysis for your lot is the reference for identity and purity results.

What arrives with the order

  • One sealed 3 mL glass vial per unit ordered, containing 9 mg total (6 mg tesamorelin, 3 mg ipamorelin) of lyophilized powder
  • A label showing the compound name, quantity and lot number
  • A lot-specific Certificate of Analysis, available on this page and in the COA library

Identity and chemistry information for laboratory research use only.

On arrival

  • Inspect: Check that the seal is intact and that the lot number on the label matches the Certificate of Analysis.
  • Store: Move the sealed vial to minus 20 °C as soon as it is received.
  • Protect: Keep the vial dry and away from direct light.

Lyophilized storage

Tesa / IPA is supplied as 9 mg total (6 mg tesamorelin, 3 mg ipamorelin) of lyophilized powder in a sealed 3 mL glass vial. Lyophilized peptide material tolerates short periods at ambient temperature in transit. For storage beyond that, keep the vial sealed at minus 20 °C, dry and protected from light.

Both components are supplied together in one vial, so any solution prepared from it contains every component in the labeled ratio.

Before opening

Let the sealed vial reach room temperature before opening, ideally in a desiccator, so that moisture does not condense on the powder. Open and handle the vial under clean laboratory conditions.

Stock solutions

Prepare stock solutions, expressed in mg/mL, according to your laboratory’s validated protocol and the solubility of the compound. Divide the solution into single-use aliquots and store them frozen, avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Label each aliquot with the lot number and the date of preparation.

Disposal

Dispose of unused material and contaminated consumables as laboratory chemical waste, in line with applicable federal, state and local rules.

Laboratory storage and handling information only. No dosing or administration guidance is given or implied.

What purity specification does this lot meet?

Every lot of Tesa / IPA is tested for identity and purity by HPLC-MS before release. The measured purity for your lot is shown on its Certificate of Analysis, matched to the lot number printed on the vial label.

Where do I find the Certificate of Analysis for my vial?

Lot testing records appear on this product page. You can also search by compound name or lot number in the COA library.

How is this blend composed?

Each vial contains 9 mg total (6 mg tesamorelin, 3 mg ipamorelin) of lyophilized powder, combined in a single vial. The composition of each lot is confirmed on its Certificate of Analysis.

What arrives with the order?

One sealed 3 mL glass vial per unit ordered, containing 9 mg total (6 mg tesamorelin, 3 mg ipamorelin) of lyophilized Tesa / IPA. Each vial is labeled with the compound name, quantity and lot number, so it can be matched to its Certificate of Analysis.

How should the vial be stored when it arrives?

Move the sealed vial to minus 20 °C, dry and protected from light, as soon as it is received. The Storage and handling tab covers storage, opening, stock solutions and disposal.

Is Tesa / IPA for human or veterinary use?

No. Tesa / IPA is supplied strictly for in vitro laboratory research. It is not a drug, dietary supplement, food or cosmetic, has not been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, and must not be used in humans or animals.
