Overview
GHK-Cu is a complex of copper(II) with the tripeptide glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine. GHK occurs naturally in human plasma and binds copper with high affinity.
Research context
GHK-Cu has been studied extensively in vitro and in animal models of skin and connective tissue, including work on collagen and glycosaminoglycan synthesis, wound models and gene expression profiling.
