Overview
IGF-LR3 is an analogue of human IGF-1 with an arginine substitution at position 3 and a 13 amino acid N-terminal extension, giving 83 amino acids in total.
Research context
These changes reduce binding to IGF binding proteins. IGF-LR3 is used in cell culture research and in studies of IGF-1 receptor signalling through the PI3K/AKT and MAPK pathways.
